PURPOSE:To prevent the overload of a motor caused by the adhesion between a magnetic disk and a magnetic head and the damage of the disk and the head with a simple constitution, by applying the minute vibration to the magnetic head when the magnetic disk starts its rotation. CONSTITUTION:At starting, an irregular signal is first fed to a servo motor 4 from an irregular signal generator 7 through a switch 8. Thus the motor 4 has a frequency and a vibration changing its amplitude irregularly, and this frequency or vibration is transmitted to a magnetic head 1 via an arm 3. As a result, the adhesion is released between the head 1 and a magnetic disk 2, and the load current of the motor 4 decreases suddenly. This sudden decrease of the load current is detected by a sensor 10 to change the switch 8, and the signal of the generator 7 is cut off. Then the positioning signal A of magnetic head is connected to a servo amplifier 9. At the same time, a rotary motor 5 is started and a magnetic disk device has a normal operation. |
