PURPOSE:To obtain a polypropylene resin composition having improved impact resistance and brittle resistance at low temperature, without lowering the rigidity of the original resin, by compounding a polypropylene resin with a specific amount of a partially co-crosslinked product of a peroxide-crosslinked olefin copolymer and a polyethylene resin. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of a partially co-crosslinked product composed of about 10-90pts.wt., preferably 30-80pts.wt. of a peroxide-crosslinked olefin copolymer rubber and about 90-10pts.wt., preferably 70-20pts.wt. of a polyethylene resin, is mixed with about 150-600pts.wt. of a polypropylene resin. The polypropylene resin is preferably partially subjected to the dynamic heat treatment in the presence of an organic peroxide in the viewpoint of compatibility, etc. The above heat treatment can be carried out by mixing 100pts.wt. of the partially crosslinked product with about 10-200pts.wt., preferably 30-80pts. wt. of a polypropylene resin and about 0.05-1pt.wt. of an organic peroxide, subjecting the mixture to the dynamic heat treatment, and adding a polypropylene resin to the mixture to obtain the total polypropylene resin content of 150- 600pts.wt. |
