PURPOSE:A lubricant excellent in lubricating performance at a high temp. and suitable for rolling a rolled stock end with control of the plane form in a variety of rolling processes, which is prepd. by mixing a base oil consisting of a synthetic ester and natural oil and fat with a phosphate, silicate, borate or boron nitride. CONSTITUTION:A base oil consisting of a synthetic ester and/or natural oil and fat is mixed with 0.1-40wt% total of at least one compd. among a phosphate such as potassium metaphosphate, a silicate such as potassium metasilicate, a borate such as potassium metaborate and boron nitride to prepare the purpose lubricant. The lubricant is excellent in lubricating performance at a high temp. and suitable for rolling a rolled stock end with control of the plane form in a rolling process such as break down, roughing in a hot strip rolling mill or plate rolling. |
