Hot food prods. to be eaten on a stick like an ice-lolly or like a pasty have a hot cream filling in a crisp rigid hot crust. The prods. may be produced by adding fat or gelatin to a cream of the type used in cakes, cooling and moulding the mixt., coating with batter, and cooking, e.g. by frying, toasting or baking in a conventional or microwave oven. Sweet or savoury ingredients and flavours may be used. |
