The hinged joint of a borehole screw-type hydraulic machine consists of two universal joints, each with a body in which an internal gear rim is in engagement with the two external gear rims on the two half-couplings. Each half-coupling is sealed by an elastic sleeve which rests with one end against the end of the internal gear rim, and is fixed with the other end on the half-coupling. Such a seal has a simple design, but ensures by its high sealing efficiency a long service life of the hinged joint.
