Prefabricated heat insulating concrete building block - incorporates cooperating grooves and ridges allowing offset assembly without use of mortar

The prefabricated heat-insulating building blocks are made out of non-reinforced vibrated concrete and incorporate ridges (5) on the upper faces. The ridges engage grooves on the block above, so that the blocks can be assembled together without mortar.. The ridges and grooves are arranged so that the blocks cannot be placed directly on top of one another but must be offset w.r.t the blocks above and below. The blocks contain three internal partitions which define four heat-insulating air cavities.
