PURPOSE:To increase greatly the system efficiency in the copy mode, by using the refresh cycle as a copy cycle in the copy mode and carrying out the refresh action in the first half or second half part of the copy cycle. CONSTITUTION:A main storage device 30a reads out the data from a memory module MEM301a in the first half part of the refresh cycle. The data read out of the MEM301a is held in a data register DR303a and then transferred to a main storage device 30b to be held at a register DR303b. The device 30b holds the copy address and the data which are transferred in the first half part at an address register AR305b and the data register DR303b. On the other hand, the lower bit of the copy address which is generated from a copy address counter 304b is applied to the MEM301b to perform a refresh action. Then the MEM 301a has a refresh action in the second half of the refresh cycle. At the same time, the address and the data held in the registers AR305b and DR303b are fed to the MEM301b. |
