The insole comprises two layers, the lower one having a recess in which is placed a stabilising element. Layers include thermoplastic fibres, some of which have a lower m.pt. than the others, e.g. polypropylene. Bicomponent fibres can be used in which one component has a lower m.pt. than the other fibres. The two layers as fibrous sheets can be fused together by heating above the softening point of the low melting point fibres. The sole shapes can then be punched out. The layers can be made to have different permeabilities. (Provisional Basic previously advised in week 8434). |
