A procedure for drying container lids involves the lids 1, during the drying operation, being moved on a conveyor belt 2 along side pieces 3, 4 arranged by the conveyor belt while the lids are held in a slanting position relative to the conveyor belt. This slanting position is obtained by the part of the lid nearest one of the side pieces 3 resting against the conveyor belt, while the part of the lid nearest the other side piece 4 is supported at a level above the conveyor belt 2. An arrangement for carrying out the procedure has the side pieces 3, 4 so formed that one of them 3 forms a boundary preventing the lids moving in the belt's transverse direction, while the other 4 is adapted to support the adjacent part of the lid above the conveyor belt 2. <IMAGE> |
