发明名称 ORGANIC ELECTROLYTE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To remove a voltage drop in an initial stage of discharge by making a solid solution of bismuth trioxide (Bi2O3) which is a positive material providing higher discharge voltage than CuO, and CuO in an organic electrolyte battery using a light metal represented by lithium as a negative active material, and cupric oxide as a positive active material. CONSTITUTION:The figure shows a 9.5mm. diameter, 2.6mm. high button type battery. 1 shows a positive electrode which is formed in such a way that a molded pellet is accommodated in a nickel plated stainless steel case 2 and pressed again to form one body with the case 2. In the figure, curves a, b, c, d show the performance of the battery constructed by using electrodes of 10, 5, 2, 1pts.wt. solid solution of Bi2O3 to 100pts.wt. CuO respectively. When Bi2O3 forms a solid solution with CuO, the curve a shows a different discharge curve from that of a simply mixed electrode which is usual process. In the discharge curve a, so- called a voltage drop phenomenon is eliminated, and smooth discharge goes on, then reches a voltage plateau.
