PURPOSE:To aim at improvements in output of power over a wide range, by making a main exhaust port and an auxiliary exhaust port open to a two-cycle engine separately, while regulating a valve, which selects the interconnection between these main and auxiliary exhaust ports and an expansion chamber according to an engine speed. CONSTITUTION:A main exhaust port 15 and an auxiliary exhaust port 16 are made open to a cylinder 10 of a two-cycle engine separately, while a regulating valve 21 is installed in position between an expansion chamber 20 and these main and auxiliary exhaust ports 15 and 16. A valve 21 makes the exhaust port 15 and the expansion chamber 20 get them interconnected each other in time of low speed in the engine, but in proportion as it comes to a high speed, the expansion chamber 20 is gradually closed to the main exhaust port 15, while the auxiliary exhaust port 16 is controlled so as to open by degrees instead. |
