<p>An oil filter which has cylindrical casings (8, 106, 208) with bottoms, base members (9, 109, 209) having an oil inlet (91c) and an oil outlet (9cb), and means (6, 107, 115, 206) provided at the periphery of a filter element to connect thin filter paper to one end of filter elements (1, 101, 201) in a multiple winding on a core and its periphery to the first oil passage (A) connected to the oil inlet and the other ends of the filter elements to the second oil passage (B) for isolating first and second oil passages. Since this filter is thus constructed and the first oil passage connected to the oil inlet side is contacted with the end faces and peripheral faces of the filter elements, the impact area of the oil which is most likely to be clogged can be increased, thereby maintaining the filtering capacity for a longer period of time.</p> |
