PURPOSE:To provide a system which enables a normal starting and printing in a print head by securing a continuous printing on a portion outside the printing area (on the perforation or the like) in a printing paper when the driving of a printer is started. CONSTITUTION:When a printer is started up, before the driving of the regular printing, a position sensor 24 detects a portion outside the printing area in a printing paper 11, namely the perforation 22 and with a fixed time set for a timer, a breake-in printing section G performs a specified amount of printing. The printing paper is transferred in the regular operation with the driving of a medium transfer section 12. After a print head 21 is checked to continue the normal printing, the driving of the regular printing is started. |
