<p>Bentonite clay and portland cement are mixed with liquid containing polluting waste-materials to encapsulate the polluting material and convert the waste into chemically and physically stable solid particles simulating soil physically which is substantially insoluble in water but which is spongy so as to reabsorb water without leaching out ions to any appreciable extent. The wastes may include any type of industrial wastewater, sludge, or any other waste material generated by any industrial process.</p> |
