PURPOSE:To absorb a medium with a feeding roller, by giving a shock to the medium with a rocking cam and automatically correcting a feeding mistake, when the feeding mistake of the medium takes place, through the provision of the rocking cam for a device absorbing the medium such as a document. CONSTITUTION:A pluraity of documents a1 are horizontally piled up at a hopper 1, the documents a1 are pressed on a pickup roller 4 with a feeding metal fixture energized with a spring 2 from the back side, and the documents a1 are applied to an absorbing separator 5 with the roller 4 when the roller 4 is turned. Rocking cams 8-0-8-3 are provided for medium reading rollers 4 and 4'. A pickup roller control section 11 of a control circuit of this device is provided with a feeding mistake detection section 12 inputting the detected signal from a medium detection sensor 7, a retrial control section 9 is controlled when the feeding mistake is detected, the cams 8-0-8-3 are driven with a rocking cam control section 13, a shock is given to the stored documents a1, and the documents a1 are absorbed with feeding rollers 6 and 6'. |
