Toothed belt drive consisting of two toothed pulleys and a toothed belt wrapped around them. To reduce noise, air channels are machined into the toothed pulleys, either in the form of grooves on the circumference between the teeth or as radial holes at the base of the gaps between the teeth. In the case of flanged toothed pulleys, the flanges are perforated or slotted, allowing the air to escape sideways.
