PURPOSE:To minimize the corrosion of a heat exchanger, as of an exhaust gas treating system, by a method wherein the exhaust gas to be treated is maintained at specified temperatures via a fan installed in between the heat exchanger and the waste gas treating plant to be pressure-fed from the heat exchanger to the exhaust gas treating plant so that the exhaust gas yet to be treated may be prevented from escaping into the treated waste gas at the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:The waste gas from a boiler 1 is led to an electric dust collector 2 and to an enclosed-type heat exchanger 3 to be pressure-fed via a fan 4 to a wet type waste gas treating plant 5 and to the heat exchanger 3 to be discharged from a stack 8. The waste gas yet to be treated remaining in the line 5-1 on the outlet side of the heat exchanger 3 is maintained at temperatures of 70-90 deg.C, with the result that the leakage at the heat exchanger 3 of the waste gas yet to be treated into the treated waste gas is prevented and that the corrosion of the heat exchanger 3 is minimized. |
