This heat insulating module, of polyurethane foam, expanded polystyrene or any other similar insulating material, is intended to be fixed to roof elements to form a continuous heat insulating surface, inserted between these elements and the roof covering, and to be usable for roofs in which the spacings between these elements may be different. It comprises, over its entire length, an elastic strip (7) integral therewith and arranged so that its compression permits a decrease in its width, and additionally in its lower part a receptacle (4) for the roof element (13 or 14) to which it is to be fixed, and in its upper part, on one of its edges, a nose (6) for covering the opposite edge of the juxtaposed module, parallel to its elastic strip (7). <IMAGE>
