PURPOSE:To report the time to the user with an emotional sounds in a simple circuit constitution, by mixing the second signal of a sound signal generating circuit and the melody signal of a melody signal generating circuit to a sounding material in a quartz oscillation wrist watch. CONSTITUTION:A time counting circuit 3 receives and counts the signal of a timing signal generating circuit 2, to which a quartz oscillator 1 is connected, and hold the counted value as time information and includes the time reporting function and other additional functions. An input device 5 interlocks with a member provided on the case of the watch to operate the circuit 3 and other parts. A sound syntheisizing circuit 6 receives information of the circuit 3 to synthetize a digital sound signal. ROMs 1 and 7 hold phoneme data for syllables and words, and ROMs 2 and 8 hold data constituting sentences. A melody synthesizing circuit 11 reads out data of ROMs 3 and 12 to generate an analog signal. The signal of the circuit 6 is converted to an analog signal through a register 9 by a DA converter 10 and is mixed with the signal of the circuit 11 in a mixing circuit 13, and they are amplified by an amplifier 14 and are outputted as an acoustic signal to a speaker 15. |
