PURPOSE:To facilitate the jam processing by providing, on a middle tray, a means feeding out a sheet material from a discharge port to the predetermined position on the middle tray removably from the middle tray and retreating the said means with a safety mechanism at the time of abnormal feeding. CONSTITUTION:A refeeding section 100 in an image forming device has a middle tray 9, width restricting plates 92, and a sway plate 16 provided with a sponge roller 91 at one end. In this case, the other end of the sway plate 16 is rotatably supported by a drive shaft 191 through which the power is transmitted via a pulley 192 in a rotation drive mechanism 19. This sway plate 16 is swayed by the operation of a sway drive mechanism 17 via a lever 172, and the sponge roller 91 is selectively attached to the tray 9. A safety mechanism 50 is provided which functions, when a jam detector is operated, so that a clutch 52 is operated and a cam 54 is rotated by 180 deg., then the parallel portion 172c of the lever 172 is pushed down, and the sponge roller 91 is lifted. |
