PURPOSE:To detect stain in the lower part of the side of a bottle opening and also loss by cracking, by irradiating the upper surface and the side part of the bottle opening by 2 light sources, photodetecting a reflected ray by a one-dimensional scanning camera, and comparing a pattern by its electric signal with a pattern of a non-defective unit. CONSTITUTION:Light beams from light sources 2, 8 are irradiated onto the upper surface and the side of a bottle opening 3 through light diffusion plates 5, 10, and reflected rays 2a, 8a are inputted to an image sensor camera 7. In the camera 7, a lot of CCD elements are arrayed, an optical signal is converted to an electric signal, its image pickup pattern is compared with a pattern value of a nondefective unit by a prescribed electronic circuit, and an inspection of a defective bottle is executed. Therefore, it is possible to detect not only stain in the lower part of the side of a bottle opening but also a crack loss, which cannot be inspected by a conventional device having a light source on only the upper part of a bottle opening, and the inspection is executed with high accuracy. |
