The invention relates to a device for fastening a C-shaped clamp, at the ends of which there are provided in each case at least one bearing surface and one receiving channel for a retaining rail which opens in the form of a U towards the clamp and is designed with inwardly angled-off longitudinal edges. C-shaped clamps for the suspension of retaining rails are fastened with so-called quick-clamping suspension means. These quick-clamping suspension means can not be used in every case where retaining rails are used. The object of the invention is to provide a universally usable fastening device for a C-shaped clamp. This is achieved by a spring (2) which is bent in the form of a U and has a longer fastening leg (21) and a shorter receiving leg (22) on which the C-shaped clamp (1) is fastened in a positively locking manner such that, when loaded, the receiving leg has a force component in the direction of the fastening leg. <IMAGE>
