A windscreen wiper for vehicles with a water spraying device (12) which is arranged on the wiper (10 in Fig. 1), movable to and fro, and with which water can be sprayed parallel to the direction of the wiper blade (11) onto the windscreen, to be precise in each case on the front side (with reference to the direction of the wiper movement) of the wiper blade (11). The synchronisation of the spraying with the wiper movement can take place with the aid of a correspondingly triggered solenoid valve. <IMAGE>
