Detonating-fuse closure

In detonating-fuse blasting and similar work, detonating fuses are used whose ends are closed by a sealing sleeve which at the same time serves to secure the core of the detonating fuse and to join it to the initiating detonator. The sealing sleeve is designed as a hose which is open at both ends, sized to take up the detonating fuse and detonator and is divided by a plate approximately in the middle into two axially arranged chambers. Excellent tightness is achieved if the sealing sleeve has a funnel-shaped lead-in provided with lips on one and/or both ends. <IMAGE>
