PURPOSE:To prevent conveyed material from being shocked, by changing the gain of a proportional integrator and the position setting of a dancer roll slowly on the start of dancer control. CONSTITUTION:By a rate-of-change limiting device 14, the output of proportional gain memories 17, 44, 18 is switched and the proportional gain of a proportional integrator 13 is changed to a desired gain slowly from the start of control on. By a desired position approach completion detector 47, it is detected that a difference between the actual position of a dancer roll 1 and the central position is set in a given range on the start of the control. By this detection signal, a contact 48 is closed, and by a rate-of-change limiting device 15, integration gain memories 19, 45, 20 are changed over, and an integration gain is slowly changed to the desired gain. As a result, the output of sharp correction signal is prevented from being generated due to the positional shift of the dancer roll from the central position on the start of dancer control, and quick control response can be secured. |
