Record card store - recording and retrieval of information by means of keys from cards rolled on drum

Recording and retrieval of record cards containing information about a number of objects is achieved by this invention by the use of a keyboard. Operation of one set of keys retrives the required card whilst the second set of keys is used for entering the reading data. Each of the flexible record cards (23), have a backing card on which the replaceable record sheet is mounted with a transparent cover. The cards are attached by one edge to a drum (24) on which they are rolled. They are selected by pressing one of a set of keys (60) on a keyboard (58). This has the effect of the drum rotating anti-clockwise, with the selected card (23) being pushed onto the support (66). Entries may now be read through transparent keys (64). The cards are returned when the drum is rotated clockwise.
