PURPOSE:To make the treatment work on pattern surfaces before and after tests simple by allowing discoloring reagents to exist in the recesses in the plural places of the surfaces of sample models, disposing these in a wind tunnel and diffusing a gas which changes the hues of the discoloring reagents by reacting with said reagents. CONSTITUTION:Recesses 8 are formed in the plural places on the surfaces of sample models 3-5 such as buildings and topographic configurations, and net- like bodies 10 impregnated with discoloring reagents are contained thereon. These are disposed in a see-through wind tunnel 1. After the velocity of wind is controlled to a desired value by driving a fan 6, gaseous ammonia of prescribed concn. is discharged through a gas pipeline 7 and is diffused by wind. The arrival regions of diffusion are known from the degrees of the change in the hues of the reagents, whereby pollution such as atmospheric contamination is measured. Therefore, the work for the pre-treatment and post-treatment for the porpose of disposing the discoloring reagents on the surfaces of the models 3-5 is made extremely simple and the number of steps is reduced considerably. |
