PURPOSE:To prevent the overheating of a pile driver as well as to reduce the noise generated in driving a pile by surrounding a pile diver, e.g., vibration hammer, etc., with a sound-proof cover with a water cooler. CONSTITUTION:A pile driver 3 is covered with a sound-proof cover 4 and also cooled by flowing down water sprinkling holes 6 through a water jacket 5 from a water injection pipe 7. An overflow pipe 8 is provided at the bottom of the sound-proof cover 4, a check valve 8' is provided at the internal end of the overflow pipe 8, and water stored on the bottom of the sound-proof cover 4 is overflowed from the pipe and discharged into a short pipe 2. Thus, sound-proofing effect can be raised by water layer formed on the bottom of the sound-proof cover 4. When water is stored to a certain extent in the short pipe 2, air pressure is applied from the pipe 9 to the short pipe 2 to push out water and discharge it from a drain pipe 10 by the air pressure. |
