The pulsating water-jet device contains two jet pipes (20, 21) for successively feeding a pulsating liquid jet in the direction of the object to be destroyed, a flow interrupter (2) with an inlet for the operating liquid and two outlets for feeding the latter to the jet pipes (20, 21), and a pulse generator. The pulse generator includes a receiving housing (41, 42), a separating element, two stroke limiters (53a, 54a) for the separating element and a means for delaying the displacement of the separating element. The receiving housing (41, 42) is hydraulically connected to the jet pipes (20, 21), and the separating element oscillates between two end positions in relation to the jet pipes (20, 21) and generates a pulse in one of these end positions, in which.........as a result of the changeover of the flow interrupter, after the operating liquid pressure in the respective jet pipe (20 or 21) has risen to the predetermined value. The means for delaying the displacement of the separating element is, for example, a pipe (8, 9) which is under the pressure of the feed source or at least two cylindrical compression springs or a cup closed by a diaphragm and filled with compressed gas. As a result of the rise of the operating liquid pressure in the respective jet pipe (20, 21), the separating element reaches one of its end positions for pulse generation only after the pressure in this jet pipe (20, 21) has risen to the predetermined value. <IMAGE>
