PURPOSE:To provide an effective utilization of thermal energy contained in a discharged gas by a method wherein an infrared radiably rays body provided with a plurality of pass-through holes is arranged at a discharge port of a cooking unit. CONSTITUTION:Bottom part of the cooking unit 4 of the gas table having grill is provided with a container 6 storing water 5 and a grill net 7 on which the material to be cooked 8 is placed. At the upper part of the unit are arranged a burner 9 and a uniform heating means 10 and an infrared radiater means 11 is arranged in the discharge port A'. This infrared radiater means 11 is oppositely faced against the material to be cooked 8 through the pass-through holes 10A of the uniform heating means 10, a surface provided with a number of pass- through holes and oppositely faced against the material to be cooked 8 is made of an infrared radiater material and has an infrared radiation surface to which a carbon, metal oxide, complex oxide, carbide or nitride are exposed, and it is formed by either a coating or a sintering. Absolute value A of all opening area of the pass-through holes in said infrared radiater means 11 and an absolute value B of a volume of discharged gas produced in one second are designed to be a relation of B/A=5-25. |
