PURPOSE:To prevent movement of the corrugated portion of a flat plate when it is installed by providing the flat plate with a corrugated portion and bending its flat portions so as to cover the corrugated portion. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate 10 is prepared and it is equally divided into three sections, and the central section is passed through a corrugating machine to form a corrugated section 11 on it. Next, solder foils 12 are placed and fixed on both faces of the corrugated section 11. Further, the flat sections 10a and 10b on both sides of the corrugated section 11 are bent anticlockwise, for example, from the demarcation between the flat and corrugated sections to cover up the solder foils and the end portion of either of the flat section 10a or 10b is overlapped and fixed on the flat plate of the other. Many of flat tube units 13 formed by the above process are stacked and soldered in a furnace. |
