Articulated connection between a leg of a drilling and production platform and a foundation body

For the movable connection between a leg (2) of a drilling platform and a foundation body (3), a ball joint (1) is used which is mounted in a ball socket (5) in an articulated manner. The ball socket (5) is connected to the foundation body (3) via a bearing block (4), while the ball joint (1) is connected to the leg (2) by bolt (7). In order to protect the articulated connection from extreme corrosion in the event of failure, it is combined with an emergency support (8), clearance being provided between the emergency support (8) and the leg (2) or between the bolt (7) and the ball joint (1) for the static definition of the construction. The support of the leg (2) is effected via bolt (7) in the first embodiment and via the emergency support (8) in the second embodiment. <IMAGE>
