PURPOSE:To prevent a customer from forgetting to take the succeeding medium, by a method wherein the medium previously completed in processing is temporarily held at a retracted position and continuously returned at the point of time when processing is completed and the succeeding medium is returned immediately after the customer receives the preceding medium. CONSTITUTION:When a medium 1 is in a state where carrying-forward should be effected as the medium 1 has no blank part to be printed when the medium 1 is inserted to perform printing on a platen 9 by a printing head 8, said medium 1 is temporarily sent out to a retraction part 12 and temporarily held, for example, by a clutch roller 11. A medium 2 to be a passbook issued newly is sent out by a delivery roller 4 to be printed on the platen 9. After the printing to the medium 2 is finished, when the medium 2 and the medium 1 previously held at the retraction part 12 temporarily are simultaneously fed through a feed path 5, the medium 2 is pulled off from a suction and discharge port 6 at first and, thereafter, the medium 1 is discharged almost continuously to be pulled out. As a result, since the media are pulled out almost continuously, the forgetting of pulling-out is prevented. |
