<p>Wood is pulped by the action of a grinding member in the presence of a liquid. In order that the process can be carried out at a temperature above 100.degree.C, either under pressure or at atmospheric pressure, a liquid is used which has a boiling point at atmospheric pressure above 100.degree.C. Previous-ly, water has been employed as the liquid.</p> |
