The compressed air outlet coprises a closure sprung lift valve, actuated by the insertion of a feed pipe nozzle, and is designed to miniise pressure drop. The valve controls a direct passage, has a tubular rod-like form with a flanged outboard end and has an inboard end with one or more bevels. A valve body is mounted on the bevelled end and the spring fits onto the valve between the flange and the head. - The head may move onto a seat to effect a sealed closure and the seat may locate on the inlet end of the valve-case, the bevelling providing two corresponding surfaces, each incorporating a longitudinal window. The inboard end of the spring may be retained by a case shoulder. |
