The device for the retention of outside window shutters has an actuating lever (2) which is mounted pivotably on the window shutter (18) and, with the window shutter swung against the house wall, is located between the window shutter and the latter and the free end of which extends beyond the inner edge of the shutter, so that it can be actuated by hand at an easily accessible point. When the window shutter is swung open up against the house wall, a hook part (32) formed on the actuating lever (2) engages with its vertical part (40), after moving over an oblique guide face of a holding part fastened to the house wall (36), into a cutout (42) of the holding part, so that the window shutter is retained. The device of simple construction makes it substantially easier to retain and release outside window shutters. <IMAGE> |
