The fastening clip (1) is mounted on the back of small electrical devices such as fuse carriers or small circuit breakers to be clipped into position on a support rail. The clip is formed from sheet metal, and is bent and punched to the required shape. One end (3) of the clip (1) is folded back onto itself to form a large loop (10) which clips behindan edge of the support rail, while the other end (4) has small hooks (5) which clips under the other edge of the rail. The loop end has a flattened tip (9) to act as a stop. A pressed hole (12) in the centre allows the clip to be fixed into place on the back of the device. The loop prevents the device from being imclipped merely by the application of a tractive force. Removal of the device requires an upward force to be applied to the lower face.
