PURPOSE:To titled filler, consisting essentially of hydroxyapatite which is a tooth hard tissue component, containing further iodoform, silicone oil, etc., well compatible with root canal tissue, identifying with teeth with time and readily fitting root canals. CONSTITUTION:The titled filler, consisting essentially of hydroxyapatite (OH-Ap) and containing further iodoform capable of imparting sustained bacteriostatic property, silicone oil capable of imparting fluidity, etc. When this filler is filled in root canals, there is almost no harmful effect even if it overflows a little from the root apical holes but has rather positive promoting effect on treatment of pathologic periapical tissues. Since the filler has X-ray contrast medium property, effect after application can be confirmed. If part of OH<-> groups in OH-Ap are substituted by F<-> groups, the crystallinity is improved and the physico-chemical properties are improved. The filler can be filled even in fine parts of the root canals because of fluidity caused by addition of the silicone oil.
