PURPOSE:To perform light quantity correction without delaying the first copy, by detecting reflecting quantities from a standard white plate at the initial and correcting times by means of a reflecting light quantity detector at the home position of a scanner. CONSTITUTION:A hole is formed is part of the bracket 14 of the 2nd scanner 11 and a reflecting light quantity detector 17 which is protruded between the 2nd and 3rd mirrors 12 and 13 so as to cross the optical axis between the 2nd and 3rd mirrors 12 and 13 receives reflecting light from a standard white plate 4 through the hole when the 2nd scanner 11 is positioned to its home position. Detection of the reflecting light quantity from the standard white plate 4 by means of the reflecting light quantity detector 17 can be performed when the scanners 7 and 11 are at their home positions before the scanners 7 and 11 make actual exposure and scanning in such way. Therefore, the pre-scanning which is required for making light quantity correction is made unnecessary and the first copy is never delayed.
