<p>The two way handle (1) is used on a screw-driver and comprises a body (2) with two housed seatings (3,4) for the tool shaft (5). The seats are perpendicular to each other, with one on the handle axis used to effect a quick drive whilst the other is used when force rather than speed is required. The axial seat occupies half the length of the block and the other occupies three quarters of the width, the shaft being located by a sprung ball catch whilst embedded metal inserts (6,7) match the shaft profile to prevent relative rotation between shaft and handle.</p> |
