The base (1) of a circuit breaker is made from insulating material and has shoulders (2) on the front face (1a) to permit centering of equipment to be fastened to it by screws into tapped holes (3). The base is mounted on a chassis by screws in slots (4) in the base (5). A number of compartments (6) in the rear face (1b) receive terminals (9). These are in the form of a rigid metal bar (10), having a socket (11) which connects to a complementary stud in the electrical equipment supported by the base. A terminal cover (12) of insulating material comprises a tubular sheath (13) closed by a cross wall (14) with a slot (16) for the terminal. A collar forms a support stop and a part sleeve (28) extends to form a cover for terminal. A cap (34) of flexible insulating material provides total protection for the terminal.
