The device comprises a spout-forming support guide (1), a carriage (7) for driving out the spoke (5), a retractable lever (24) for holding the spoke and retracting for the passage of the head (6), a jack (27) imparting to the support guide (1) an alternating transmission motion for moving it close to and away from a hub of a spoke wheel. Application to the making of devices for the automatic insertion of spokes in a hub of a spoke wheel.
