In fiberising moltent glass by the centrifugal projection of streams of glass through rows of perforations in the peripheral wall of a spinner positioned on an upright axis within a downwardly directed annular gas blast, all the molten glass is feed to the inside of the peripheral wall of the spinner in the plane of the uppermost row of perforations. An downwardly flowing layer of glass is thus formed on the inside of the peripheral wall of the spinner.A rotating distributing basket with a single row of apertures in its peripheral wall located in the plane of the uppermost row of perforations of the spinner is located in the spinner wall.Used for fiberising glass, mineral and other thermoplastic materials
