The invention relates to a locking device for the automatic locking and release of a manoeuvrable flap, for example in a chip truck or a truck for the transport of solid material, the flap being liftable upwards and over the truck by means of at least one lifting arm mounted rotatably in the former, with any number of blocking hooks or blocking projections which are arranged along the side of the truck on which the manoeuvrable flap is provided, so that they engage round lower parts of the flap in the closed position of the latter. According to the invention, the lifting arm is mounted with one end (5b) rotatably in an intermediate member (106) by means of a journal (107) and the intermediate member is itself mounted rotatably in the flap (2) by means of a journal (108). The journals (107 and 108) are arranged eccentrically in relation to one another, with the result that the lifting movement of the lifting arm (5) generates a rotation of the intermediate member (106) outwards from the flap. A lowering movement of the lifting arm (5) generates an opposite rotation of the intermediate member. As a result of the eccentric mounting of the journals (107, 108), the lifting movement of the lifting arm (5) generates a straight upwardly directed movement (arrow B) of the flap, before it executes a movement upwards and outwards in the direction of movement of the lifting arm (5) (arrow D), and the flap moves straight downwards in the opposite direction during the last part of the lowering movement of the lifting arm (5) for the purpose of closing the flap. <IMAGE> |
