The invention relates to program-controlled digital systems, particularly linear interpolators. The linear interpolator contains a unit, connected to an external information source, for digital code normalisation, which is connected via digital/analog converters (5, 6) to comparators (10, 11) which are connected to a controllable reference voltage source (9) and via an OR gate (16) to an integrator (19) which is connected to the analog/digital converters (5, 6), at the outputs of which voltage/frequency converters (22, 23) for the X and Y coordinates are connected which are coupled to a control circuit for actuators. The invention can be utilised in systems for program control of the actuators for converting a digital information via coordinate increments into control pulse sequences. <IMAGE>
