The coin insertion for coin-operated machines is provided with a shutter which prevents intrusions into the machine. It consists of a slide containing a chamber for receiving a coin, which is open forwards and downwards. The slide slides on a bracket directly behind the insertion slot. In one end position, the chamber is open only towards the insertion slot, and in the other end position it is open only towards the coin channel. <IMAGE>
