The feed-bobbin carrier (3) of a two-for-one twisting spindle possesses an additional rotation-preventing device besides the magnetic retaining device consisting of an inner and an outer magnet (4 and 5). The main element of this rotation-preventing device is a stop body which consists of a stay (10) and of a bolt (11) connected to the latter at an angle. The stop body (10, 11) is inserted in a pocket-like recess (8) of the feed-bobbin carrier (3). The recess (8) has on its bottom a concave spherical or cylindrical curve (9), in which the stay (10) is supported with its correspondingly convexly or cylindrically rounded foot, in such a way that the centre of gravity of the stop body (10, 11) is between the support point (1) and the axis of rotation of the feed-bobbin carrier (3) in the position of rest of the feed-bobbin carrier (3). The above-described design of the curve (9) and stay (10) avoids the need for an articulation suspension of the stop body (10, 11) by means of a pivot pin or bearing pin. Should the feed-bobbin carrier (3) be set in rotational movement in spite of the magnetic retaining device (4, 5), the stop body (10, 11) tilts on the rounded supporting foot under the effect of centrifugal force, in such a way that the bolt (11) comes out of the circumferential orifice (12) of the feed-bobbin carrier (3) and butts against a fixed machine part. <IMAGE>
