Vibrating device and arrangement of the vibrating device on a heat exchanger

In order to clean the tube plates of a heat exchanger which is suspended in a smoke gas flue, the latter are intensively vibrated from time to time by means of a push rod (3). The push rod is firstly advanced in this case against the restoring force of a spring (7), springs back and is intercepted by another spring (8). By contrast with comparable known devices, hard impacts are avoided in this case. By selecting, arranging and biasing the springs (7, 8), the cleaning intensity can be simply dosed within wide limits and adapted to the characteristics of the individual case. <IMAGE>
