For a contact element for electrical plug connectors for solder-free, sprung pressing into metallised holes in printed-circuit boards having a winding post in the form of a pin, it is provided for the latter to be produced from a sheet-metal material with a uniform original thickness, the pressing-in region (b) and the winding region (c) being shaped by bending the sheet-metal material about its longitudinal axis (2) in a V-, U-, Y- or Z-shape. In this case, in order to achieve sufficient stiffness of the winding post (10) and in order to prevent the springing of the side limbs (11) of this post, it is provided for the internal space (12) formed by the side limbs to be filled with solder. <IMAGE>
