In order to produce a non-displaceable corner connection of mitred boards, in particular frame boards, a fixing element with cap screw is characterised by a fixing sleeve which has a stepped bore and is provided, at one end, with axially directed, pointed teeth and, at its other end, with an outer flange ring which is inclined with respect to the sleeve axis, in dependence on the mitre angle.
